Hi, I'm Matthieu, also known as Laetho. I'm a dubstep/bass music producer, sound designer and mix engineer with 17 years of production experience.
I use that experience to help artists and producers understand what's holding their music back, find practical solutions, and become more confident and independent in the studio. While dubstep is my main focus, I also work across pop, afro, indie, drum & bass, house and other electronic genres for other artists.

Where & how sessions take place

Sessions can be done either in person at my studio in Bruges, Belgium, or online via Zoom or Discord. For online sessions, we schedule a private call and work together live on your music exactly as we would during an in-person session. Choose whichever option works best for you.

What you should send beforehand

Ideally, send me the track or project you want to work on, relevant reference tracks, and a short note about what you’re struggling with or want to improve. This helps us spend more of the session actually working on your music.

FAQ

A few useful things to know before booking.

How do I book a session?

Send me an email with what you’d like help with, whether you prefer an online or in-person session, and a few dates and times that work for you. If you’re unsure which package fits, I’ll help you choose.

Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?

No extensive preparation is required. If possible, send your track or project, relevant reference tracks, and a few notes or questions. Materials sent beforehand are for context and will mainly be reviewed together during the session.

Which DAWs do you work with?

I mainly work in Ableton Live. General production coaching can be done in any DAW, although DAW-specific troubleshooting may be limited outside Ableton. For in-person sessions with another DAW, please bring your own laptop with the project ready.

Can I reschedule or cancel a session?

More than 48 hours’ notice: free reschedule or cancellation. Between 24 and 48 hours: 50% of the session value. Less than 24 hours or no-shows: 100%. This does not affect statutory consumer rights that may apply.

How does payment work?

Single sessions and coaching packages are paid in advance. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received. All prices shown include VAT.

How long do I have to use a coaching package?

Coaching packages must be used within 6 months from purchase and are personal and non-transferable. If personal circumstances arise, we can discuss a possible extension.

Can I book the sessions whenever I want?

Yes, subject to availability. For coaching packages, I recommend a consistent schedule—weekly or every two weeks—so you can make steady progress.

Can I send tracks or questions between sessions?

For Focus and Development, feedback and troubleshooting take place during booked sessions. Mentorship includes limited check-ins and short clarification questions between sessions; full reviews happen during scheduled sessions.

Is the coaching suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. I work with beginners as well as more experienced artists and producers. Everyone has to start somewhere.

What happens if I’m late for a session?

Sessions start and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the session still ends at the original time unless we agree otherwise. If a delay happens on my side, any lost time will be made up.

Can we work on unreleased music?

Yes. Any unreleased music, projects, or ideas shared during coaching are treated confidentially.

Can the session be recorded?

Sessions are not recorded by default. If you’d like a recording, let me know beforehand and I can record it with your permission. Recordings are for personal learning and should not be shared publicly without permission.

What do I need for an online session?

A computer, stable internet connection, headphones or speakers, your DAW, and Zoom or Discord. Please make sure your setup is working before the session. If a technical issue happens on my side, lost time will be made up.
